The
making of olive oil is a very old tradition in our area; for centuries this
mountainous region has produced a high quality olive oil. Today there are
still several thriving olive presses in our village.
We will take you to visit a traditional Italian cold-press to see how olive
oil is made. You will be able to observe the whole process and will leave
with an understanding of how olive oil is made from start to finish.
If you come at the right time of year (usually the end of October), you can
also take part in the olive harvest and so be involved at every stage of this
Italian tradition.
