promoted by the organization "Orso and Friends," which is active
in the area of the Abruzzi National Park, and which aims to raise awareness
about issues concerning the fauna and flora of the National Park, Latium slope.
One of these projects we are part of is to plant wild apple trees at the feet
of the mountains so that the Marsicam Bear has enough food and so will not
risk its life by going down into the villages.
We
run our project so that our rural area as a whole can benefit in many different
ways, not merely financially but culturally and spiritually. Our project aims
to be a model of sustainable tourism that others in our area can follow in
the future. We cooperate with other local businesses that use organic or traditional
methods of production, to encourage a sustainable way of life. We are involved
